Jamie Carragher is like a media guardian for Liverpool these days.
He’s always listening, ready to pounce on the slightest bit of injustice from biased presenters.
Last night, Chelsea-supporting TalkSport host Jason Cundy was the man to feel his wrath after criticising our defence in the aftermath of our win over the Blues.
On his show, Cundy called our boss “Brendan Klopp” and said we were still terrible at the back since the German’s arrival.
Jamie was having none of it, and got straight on the blower.
“You have wound me up again,” he said.
“I think it’s unfair, I’m not having a go at Brendan Rodgers, but they are different types of managers and play different ways.
“You look at the CV Jurgen has got, what he has done in Germany. He has been to a Champions League final. There’s no doubt he is a top class manager.” (Echo)
Carragher has form in this department. After he was criticised by Adrian Durham when he quit England duty, he called up to invite Durham to Melwood to criticise Carra in person, and back in April he called Cundy after the presenter was dismissive of our sensational comeback against Dortmund in the Europa League.
Thanks Carra. Keeping listening and keep calling — we love it!
