Jurgen Klopp wants a goalkeeper who’s as good with his feet as his hands, and it seems that in Loris Karius, he has just that.
The German was mostly quiet verses Derby in tonight’s EFL Cup first-half, but was called upon right at the end of the 45 after skipper Jordan Henderson gave the ball away centrally, and a midfielder sent Darren Bent through on goal…
Thankfully though, the debutant sprinted out of goal – Manuel Neuer-style – and cleared with his feet.
An excellent, vital piece of goalkeeping – that assured his side entered the dressing room at the midway point with a narrow lead.
Top stuff. Check it out for yourselves.
