In case you’ve not heard, it’s been confirmed that Loris Karius will play in goal against Hull City tomorrow, leaving our long-standing number one Simon Mignolet looking on from the bench.
It must have been hard for the Belgian to take – he’s been in good form in the league this season and arguably deserved to keep his place, and least until he made a serious error.
However, Karius has the gloves and it’s hard to see when Mignolet will next be given a chance in the league.
All of which makes his tweet this evening even more classy. According to the Echo, he was told of the decision this afternoon, so this was posted AFTER he knew about Karius being given the nod.
Good on you Simon. Keep you head up.
