We don’t know why people get worked up with player stats on FIFA.
It’s a game, little else – and EA Sports tend to rate footballers on glamour, haircut and popularity in the Far East, from what we’ve seen!
But for Twitter user @HJhrbrid, Coutinho’s 74 shooting stats were just too stupid. He compiled a video of all our Brazilian’s jaw-dropping strikes from range, which undeniably contradict the low rating.

Since the start of last season, no other footballer in the country has scored more goals from outside the area (8) than our no.10 – so rating his shooting skills 74 does seem a bit crazy!
He’s now on three goals for the season, but we hope he adds many to that tally before the end of the campaign. He managed 12 last term, but we’d be disappointed if he didn’t better that mark in 2016/17.
