Academy star signs first professional contract with Liverpool

Posted by

Academy star Liam Millar has signed his first ever professional contract with the club.

The Canada U20 international only arrived at our Kirkby base towards the tail end of last season, but it seems he has impressed enough to be given a long-term deal.

The deal was signed on his 17th birthday, proving how keen we were to get the contract signed.

He is a regular for the U18s side, and he even managed to score a hat-trick on his debut in the first game of the new 2016-17 season when we came up against Blackburn Rovers.

He faces a long way to go to make the first team. The likes of Toni Gomes and Ben Woodburn are well ahead of him in the “hot prospect” stakes.

Well done, Liam. We hope you have a successful career at Anfield.
