Hundreds of Liverpool fans erroneously get “Happy Birthday” message from Klopp

Posted by

Imagine waking up on your birthday to a special message from Reds boss, Jurgen Klopp.

I’m 31 and it’d make my day. I can only imagine what a 10-year-old might think of it.

Well, that’s what happened this morning — but the only problem is that for the vast majority of recipients, it wasn’t actually their birthday.

It all happened because of an error in the computer systems at Anfield.

According to the Echo, the email contains a video of Klopp singing Happy Birthday, then a message that reads Dear name ‘” Happy Birthday from everybody at LFC!”. The mail is signed by the boss.

The club quickly became aware of the error and sent out a further email apologising those affected for the inconvenienced.

Personally, we can’t imagine anyone being “inconvienced” by a rendition of Happy Birthday from Klopp!!
