Who needs an ageing 34-year-old striker when you could just buy the next hot prospect off Sweden’s assembly line?!
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, we are one of a number of clubs rivalling Serie A giants Juventus for 17-year-old Alexander Isak – rated by many as the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swedish forward currently plays for AIK Solna but has been linked with a move to a host of top European sides, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.
He has already found the net six times in just 18 games this season and has also scored seven times for the Swedish U17 side.
It is reported that all the interested sides have been sending scouts to watch him in recent months.
He was dubbed the new Ibrahimovic by teammate Chinedu Obasi.
“He is a great potential, and I absolutely believe that he will go far,” he said.
“If he concentrates and continues as he is, I think he can become Sweden’s next Ibrahimovic.
“He has the potential, everyone can see it.” (FotbollSkanalen)
