Nathaniel Clyne will not be available for selection tomorrow with England caretaker boss Gareth Southgate names his squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

He will join teammate Adam Lallana on the absentee list. His withdrawal had already been confirmed after he went off limping and clutching his groin against Swansea at the weekend.

England face two games – firstly welcoming Malta to Wembley on Saturday afternoon, then travelling to the continent for a match with Slovenia the following Tuesday.

England have a 100 percent win record in Group F after Adam Lallana’s late goal helped them edge past Slovakia with a 1-0 win back in September.

Scotland and Lithuania are the other two sides that make up the group. The first game against Scotland is on Friday 11th November at Wembley.
