All 13 Liverpool players on international duty, including double Brazilian call-up

Another international break. And with Liverpool not playing until the Monday afterwards, we’ve got two full weeks to wait to see Liverpool again. Sigh… Expect publications to start circling random Liverpool transfer rumours in the interim. We’ll try our best to avoid!

Thirteen Reds have been selected, but notably a number of first-team starters have been left behind, which Jurgen Klopp will love.

Loris Karius needs two weeks with the boss after his outing against Swansea, while Joel Matip is still choosing to stay away from Cameroon duty. Emre Can’s been left out of the Germany squad due to Gini Wijnaldum currently taking his place in Liverpool’s midfield, while Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana will have two weeks at Melwood to get fit before the United clash.

In terms of notable call-ups, we’ve got Roberto Firmino who’s been recalled to the Brazil squad alongside Coutinho and Sadio Man who’ll face a tiring trip to Africa. These three will travel the most miles and cause us the most worry.

Hopefully, they’ll return in good health, like the other ten who’ll stay in Europe.
