Vital midfielder remains a serious doubt for Man Utd clash at Anfield

Which player would you least like to be without for the game against Man Utd in a little under two weeks?

Sadly, if you answered “Adam Lallana” – we have got some bad news for you.

It seems the important midfielder will not be fit when Mourinho’s men come to Anfield on Monday 17th October.

He limped out of our last game against Swansea with a groin problem. According to the Echo, he has been having intensive treatment on the injury since he was withdrawn against the Swans midway through the second period.

He was subsequently withdrawn from the England squad that’s due to play World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia over the coming weekend.

Lallana has not yet been definitively ruled out – he will reportedly be assessed much nearer the game itself.

Who would you play if Lallana can’t make it? Is it finally time for Emre Can to reassert his claim for a starting berth? Let us know in the comments.
