No minutes for Liverpool duo as Belgium batter Bosnia 4-0

Posted by

Neither Simon Mignolet nor Divock Origi saw any minutes on the pitch this evening as Belgium ran out comfortable 4-0 winners against Bosnia.

To be fair, it was never likely that we’d see Mignolet get the nod – Chelsea’s Courtois is well established as their number one. But Origi might be disappointed not to get on the pitch, even if it was only for a brief cameo at the end of the game.

The Belgians took the lead through an Emir Spahic own goal in the 26th minute and looked like relinquishing the lead.

Eden Hazard made it 2-0 three minutes later, Toby Alderweireld made 3-0 on the hour mark, and Romelu Lukaku completed the rout with ten minutes to go. (Soccerway)

The result leaves Belgium top of Group H with a 100 percent record from their two games so far. They beat Cyprus 3-0 in their opener. Next up is a trip to Gibraltar in a few days.
