Robbie Fowler waxes lyrical over Klopp and the Reds

Robbie Fowler has issued some gushing praise in the direction of Jurgen Klopp.

Fowler, who spent two separate spells at Anfield between 1993 and 2007, says we are a joy to watch under the German’s stewardship.

“They’re a joy to watch at the minute. They’re exciting, everyone’s scoring goals. They’ve had some great results,” he said (Echo).

He did, however, temper his praise with a call for a dose of reality. He thinks this season might be too soon for us the lift the one trophy that has evaded us for so long – the Premier League title.

“I don’t think anyone associated with the club will be getting carried away. We all know there’s a long way to go but it’s exciting times.”

He went on to stress that even if we fall short in our pursuit of the ultimate honour, he is confident we are well-placed for a top-four finish and a place in next season’s Champions League.

“I certainly think with the players we’ve got and the manager, we can do it. I’m confident that Liverpool will finish in the top four, anything beyond that would be a massive bonus.”
