Klopp has now been in charge of Liverpool for a year.
Normally, the date would probably pass without too much fanfare – but the international break and lack of domestic news means more column inches have been dedicated to his anniversary.
In an interview today, the German has revealed his best and worst moments as our manager so far.
No prizes for guessing which he thinks was the best moment — it’s that Europa League quarter-final second leg against Borussia Dortmund at Anfield last spring, and specifically, the final 30 minutes.
“Dortmund was nice, the last half an hour was not too bad,” he said (Echo).
But the worst moment?
Oddly, it wasn’t the loss to Sevilla or the loss to City. Or even the “f*cking” loss to Crystal Palace last winter.
No — instead, it was the defeat to Burnley in the second game of the this season a few weeks ago.
“Burnley, 600 or 700 games as a manager and a game like this I never saw!” he laughed.
Do you agree with Klopp’s picks?
