Henderson close to one-game ban, almost certain to be hit with suspension before Christmas

Jordan Henderson will be walking a fine line during next Monday’s Premier League clash with Man Utd.

Our captain has already been booked four times this season, and will be forced to sit out a match if he picks up one more yellow card.

With Adam Lallana very doubtful and Gini Wijnaldum all-but ruled out of the Man Utd game (and possibly for more games beyond it), the last thing we need is for Jordan to get banned.

If he were to be booked, he would miss the home game against West Brom the following weekend.

However, realistically, he is almost certainly going to get banned before Christmas. The slate is not wiped clean until the 31st December, and if he already has four bookings already, what are the chances he can get through another 12 league games without getting booked again?

Let’s just hope he can keep it together until Lallana and Wijnaldum are fit again.
