Liverpool pump Bradford 5-0 in behind closed doors friendly; Ings, Milner among goals

Jurgen Klopp has a penchant for organising a friendly game during international breaks so the players not selected by their countries can stay match fresh.

And yesterday, Liverpool took on Bradford at Melwood and came out very easy winners.

Klopp picked a strong team which included Emre Can, who was playing in the semi-finals of Euro 2016 just a few months back, Danny Ings (who scores every time he features outside of regular first-team duty) and James Milner, who retired from England duty in the summer.

We won 5-0, thanks to an Ings brace, a standard Milner penalty (does he ever miss?) and goals from young Yan Dhanda and Emre Can himself.

This is according to Paul Joyce, the Liverpool correspondent for the Express.

Nobody picked up an injury thankfully, while the players off with their countries have similarly maintained fitness so far. Let’s hope it stays that way until everyone returns, as we’ve an enormous fixture with Manchester United coming up a week today.
