In a week characterised by worrying about injuries, the news that Ben Woodburn will sign a professional contract when he turns 17 this weekend was a welcome respite.
The youngster is one of the brightest talents to emerge out of the academy in many years, and is arguably looking like the best striker we’ve produced since Michael Owen in the late 1990s.
