Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole believes Liverpool can win the Premier League title with their sexy attacking play.
Cole has tipped the league’s highest scoring team to be serious title contenders if Jurgen Klopp’s players are able to maintain their performance levels.
He told the Daily Mail: “I love what they have going forward. I think in attack they are sexy. The goals can come from all over the park. That is what I do like.”
“Are they a title threat? Yes I think they are because Klopp has got them playing with so much energy now.”
The striker’s former employers Manchester United will make the trip to Anfield on Monday night as the two historic rivals come face to face for the first time this season.
Opposition sides have been blown away by the explosiveness of our attacking players this campaign, with the combination of pace and invention proving to be a problem for even the best defences to deal with.
Fans will be hoping that Monday night is no different as we look to send a warning to the rest of our title challengers with a win against Jose Mourinho’s men.
For a former team member of Liverpool’s fiercest footballing enemy, Cole didn’t hold back from heaping praise on our attacking stars.
He said: “Klopp bringing in Sadio Mane… I think Daniel Sturridge is England’s best centre forward, when you have got players like that you are going to score goals, you are going to create goals.”
Hopefully, we can follow up Cole’s views with a sparkling performance against United.
