The clock ticks down on Liverpool’s Brazilian boys as they race to recover in time for United game

Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho are racing against time to recover from their international duties for Brazil in time for Monday night’s game against Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp has eased the pair back into training to ensure he has all of his key players available for such a crucial Premier League contest.

He told Liverpoolfc.com: “They came back, they did what they had to do until now. Roberto did a little bit more in the last session, Phil played nearly two complete games so he had only recovery after a long, long flight.”

“Even after the club did everything to bring them as comfortably as possible back to England, it’s still a long trip.”

“So, it’s still in their legs but each day, each hour helps until the next game and so that we play on Monday is an advantage in this case, of course.”

Both Firmino and Coutinho have been vital players for us this season and will be needed on Monday night.

Fans will be hoping they enter the game with fresh legs and with the energy that has seen them dominate teams up until now.

Klopp will be key in making sure his players are aware of how big a game this is and that all are willing and capable of giving it there all as he decides on his starting line up over the next few days.

If both players are to lead us to success then it is these tough fixtures that they must consistently excel in, no matter what the circumstances.
