Dejan Lovren explains why he knows what to expect against West Brom on Saturday

Dejan Lovren says he knows what he can expect when we face West Brom at Anfield on Saturday evening.

Both games last season ended in a draw. We drew 2-2 at Anfield in December thanks to a stoppage time Divock Origi goal, then drew 1-1 at the Hawthorns on the final day of the season – though the second game saw us field a “B” team ahead of the impending Europa League final against Sevilla.

Lovren only played in the first game. We played a centre-back pairing of Lucas and Skrtel in the away fixture.

“Whenever I have played against West Brom it was a really difficult game, physically and mentally,” he said.

“It will again be a tough game, but I think we need to learn from our mistakes from last year when we played them here. We know what we can expect but now it is a different situation.

“We improved a lot with Jurgen (Klopp). We were really good last season when he came, but now we are flying. We just need to keep that winning spirit.” (Echo)

We go into the game in fourth place, two points behind joint-leaders Man City and Arsenal and one behind Spurs in third.
