Tony Pulis predicts tough game against exceptional Liverpool forwards

West Brom boss Tony Pulis has praised the attacking talent Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal ahead of Saturday’s Premier League game against Liverpool.

Pulis believes that, even despite his team’s preparations for the game, it will be a tough task stopping Liverpool’s offensive power.

He told wba.co.uk: “We know it’s going to be a really tough game.”

“You know, their front five are exceptional, all of them have got the ability to take players out of the game individually.”

“We’ve looked at their tapes and obviously we’ve played them twice so you could give the players a little bit of an understanding before we go into the game of what to expect.”

“But even doing that, with the ability that Coutinho’s got, Firmino you should imagine would play, Lallana, you know they’re all top top players who have got that ability to do something off-the-cuff and can win games for you.”

The feeling of disappointment that came following Liverpool’s draw with Manchester United on Monday night could spell trouble for West Brom as Klopp’s men look to rediscover their explosive attacking form.

A win on Saturday is crucial as we look to improve our ability to consistently overcome teams lower down in the league.

Achieving this will be extremely important if we are to compete with the rest of the division’s big clubs throughout the rest of the season.

The front five that Pulis mentions will be key in finding a way to breach a solid West Brom defence in the way that they failed to do against United last week and Burnley earlier on in the campaign.

The Baggies have only lost one away game in the league so far this season though and will be no pushovers when they come to Anfield.
