Jurgen Klopp set to name much-changed side for Spurs visit

Jurgen Klopp will make a number of changes for tomorrow night’s League Cup fourth round tie against Spurs.

It has already been confirmed that Mignolet will return to the team, but there will also be wholesale changes elsewhere. (Echo)

Danny Ings, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kevin Stewart, Marko Grujic and Ovie Ejaria all missed the U23s’ weekend win over Everton and are expected to play some part, if not necessarily start.

Lucas Leiva, Ragnar Klavan, Alberto Moreno, Divock Origi, and Emre Can could all also see game time.

However, there will be no place in the matchday squad for Mamadou Sakho — the French international has been putting in a string of impressive performances in the U23s recently, but featured at the weekend and will not be included. It is looking more and more like his Liverpool career is at an end.
