Liverpool drew Leeds United in the League Cup last night at home, an historical fixture which brings back some brilliant memories.

In fact, the last time we played them at Anfield was the 2003/04 campaign, winning 3-1 on 25th October 2003!

Michael Owen, Danny Murphy and Florent Sinama Pongolle scored for us, but interestingly, an 18-year-old James Milner started on the left wing for the visitors!

Since then, Milner’s played for Newcastle, Aston Villa and Manchester City before signing for ourselves in 2015!

He’s unlikely to play against his boyhood club actually as Jurgen Klopp will probably pick a second string XI, but it’s a nice coincidence nonetheless!
