Watford star hopes to produce the unexpected when the Hornets visit Anfield

After a magnificent run of form that’s seen us win eight of our last nine games in all competitions, there is a growing belief around the club that we could -and arguably should – be there or thereabouts come May next year.

But Watford star Nordin Amrabat is adamant his side can put a dent in our growing ambitions when they come to Anfield for next weekend’s Premier League clash.

“It will be a tough game at Liverpool but, hopefully, we can do something that people don’t expect,” he said.

“I think everybody is looking forward to playing at Anfield, we have got a lot of confidence and this week we are going to training hard for sure.“The coach will prepare us well, we will listen to him and hopefully we can surprise them as well.”

On paper, the game should be a reasonably straightforward three points – but Watford are performing above all expectations in the league so far this season.

They currently sit in seventh place having won two of their last three and only losing one of their last seven. The run included an impressive 3-1 win at home to Man Utd back in mid-September.

Amrabat has been a central pillar of their unexpected success, playing in nine of the side’s ten matches in the league so far this season.
