Liverpool’s ‘ centre-forward’ (can we call him that?) Roberto Firmino has spoken about his on-field relationship with Coutinho.
The Brazilians have been sensational this season, forming two thirds of our brilliant attacking triumvirate alongside Sadio Mane.
Both have four Premier League goals but have been creatively outstanding throughout, finding increasingly clever ways to link up with each other.
“We think the same way. We know what we’re going to do before possessing the ball. We always understand each other in the games and with our skill everything turned out well,” our no.11 told the official website.
“Philippe is a magician, who makes magic in each shot, who is always helping with scoring goals and his incredible moves.
“He is always doing his best on the field.”
As well as praising his favourite team-mate, Firmino was keen to discuss Liverpool’s title aspirations, boldly claiming that our current form means nothing unless we carry it through the campaign.
“If we do not continue on this track until the end of the season, no-one will remember us and we will not achieve anything,” he continued.
“We have to continue on this track until the end.”
What is certain for us is that our best chance this term lies with the Brazilians. If they can stay fit, they provide the magic which will see us consistently win games. At the moment, it’s working a treat. Long may it continue.
