Balotelli tells Liverpool friend to quit and join him in France

Liverpool’s epic flop Mario Balotelli has encouraged fellow struggler Mamadou Sakho to quit Liverpool and join him in Ligue 1 with Nice.

The Italian was ‘sold’ to the French this summer, although they didn’t actually pay a fee – such was Liverpool’s inclination to get him off the books, and in fairness, he’s hit the ground running.

So far, the controversial striker, who was woeful during his only full season in England with us, has bagged seven goals in eight appearances for his new club – more than he managed for Liverpool in total.

Sakho has been completely frozen out by Klopp, who simply had enough of his discipline issues. The late night SnapChat rant from the central defender was the last straw, and it’s likely he’ll be shipped out at the nearest opportunity.

The likes of West Ham and Leicester City have been linked, but we’d prefer it if Sakho left the country in all honesty, because we still rate him very highly as a player.

Sadly, it just hasn’t worked out for him under Klopp, but we certainly wouldn’t begrudge Mama success elsewhere. If Balotelli can shine for Nice, he certainly can.
