England lost to South Korea Under-20s 2-1 this morning, but there was some positive news for Liverpool, with our young midfielder Ovie Ejaria scoring another goal – his second for this youth side.
He was one of the best English performers, having recently come off the bench during Liverpool’s 6-1 demolition of Watford as well.
His goal today though owed much to a huge slice of luck, with his shot taking an enormous deflection to loop over the keeper into the back of the net.

Nigeria want Ejaria to commit his international future to themselves, but the teenager was born in England and is clearly a big part of the youth set-up right now.
We hope Ejaria gets a start at home to Leeds in the EFL Cup towards the end of this month: we’d love to see more of him.
