This clip from last night’s international draw between Belgium and Netherlands involves two Liverpool players and one from Tottenham, who ends up out cold on the floor.
The game ended 1-1, but from a Reds perspective, this was the most telling moment.
Gini Wijnaldum beat his opponent on the right wing before delivering a cross in for Tottenham’s Vincent Janssen, but our current backup stopper Simon Mignolet was guarding net for Belgium and came out to punch – leaving the 22-year-old in a pile on the floor.
Janssen couldn’t remember anything for 20 minutes following the incident and we hope he gets over his concussion soon as this looked pretty nasty.
In fairness, Mignolet took to Twitter after the game to send Janssen well wishes.
The match finished 1-1 and thankfully no Liverpool players involved picked up any issues, with Wijnaldum pulling a hamstring last international break.
