Neymar is desperate to join Liverpool.
Well, that’s we’re making of these quotes anyway.
The tap-up merchant has boldly claimed he sees his future alongside Liverpool’s playmaker Coutinho, which we can only assume means he’s pining after a move to Anfield…
“Playing with Coutinho is always a joy. We’ve been friends for years, and each day I think we’re made to play with each other more,” said Barcelona’s attacker following Brazil’s 3-0 victory over Argentina, in which Coutinho scored a beautiful goal from outside the area.
Sadly for Neymar, Coutinho plays alongside Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino for us, and there’s no room for an upgrade given this duo’s outstanding start to the campaign.
It’d best for the showboater to concentrate on his own form in Spain. Real Madrid lead La Liga and he needs to perform with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi. If he does that, perhaps Liverpool will offer his an escape route next summer…
(Please don’t take this too seriously – but there’s only so many Barca want Coutinho stories we can write…)
