(Video) Dhanda’s U-18 strike is the perfect Klopp goal; Liverpool’s youngsters learning fast

Liverpool’s Under-18s played out a 3-3 draw with Manchester United this morning at the Kirkby Academy this morning, but we should have won after missing two penalties.

Brewster, McAuley and Dhanda scored our goals, although the former and the latter also missed from the spot!

But our third goal especially pleased us, because it’s exactly the kind of effort Jurgen Klopp has got the first-team scoring. Liverpool want our youth sides to play with a similar mentality and style, and this suggests it’s working.

With United in possession, Liam Coyle expertly slid into a tackle on the halfway line which won us back the ball. Camacho picked it up on the half turn and ran towards goal as Reds youngsters piled forward. He fed it to Dhanda on the left, who beat a man and smashed in with his left foot.

A clinical counter-attack goal due to expert counter-pressing. Beautiful.

Watch Dhanda’s excellent effort, here.
