Bournemouth Echo reporter identifies Liverpool’s greatest threat ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash

Trying to identify Liverpool’s greatest threat is incredibly difficult given well we have started the season, not that we like to brag.

The fact it is so tough to decide is not only testament to what a team effort it has been this season but also the level of quality Jurgen Klopp has at his disposal.

Bournemouth Echo reporter Ned Payne was the man faced with the task of answering the question ahead of today’s Premier League meeting between the two teams.

He told Liverpoolfc.com: “Sadio Mane’s pace could be a big problem. He’s got so much speed and Bournemouth have at times looked vulnerable against that type of player. Mane is capable of winning a game with a moment of brilliance – he’s explosive.”

It could have been any one of Liverpool’s attacking stars but Sadio Mane is certainly a good choice.

Mane, despite some quiet games in recent weeks, has been outstanding since his summer move from Southampton.

The Senegalese forward has given Klopp’s side a different dimension with his pace and movement in behind and the aggressive manner in which he runs at defenders.

He poses as just one member of an attacking force that has the attributes and the talent to frighten any Premier League defence.

Chelsea’s win yesterday requires a response from the Reds. Let’s hope Mane can rediscover his top form and help secure three valuable points.
