Tributes from youth stars on social media recognise the impact Michael Beale had at Liverpool

The tributes to Michael Beale have been pouring in on social media after it was announced he would be leaving his role as U23s boss to take over as the assistant manager at Sao Paulo.

Beale has done an outstanding job since joining the club in 2012 with his impressive work landing him a role in senior football.

Recent months have marked an exciting period for him. He has seen the likes of Ovie Ejaria, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kevin Stewart feature under Jurgen Klopp while he has also witnessed 17-year-old Ben Woodburn break Michael Owen’s record to become Liverpool’s youngest ever goalscorer.

He has been crucial to helping implement a ‘quality over quantity’ approach to Liverpool’s youth system that has formed a talented group of youth players.

A number of players have taken to Twitter to thank Beale for what he has done for them and to wish him good luck for the future.

Fans also joined in by showing their appreciation for Beale’s work at the club.
