It would be easy to think Sadio Mane has left us forever given the way fans are reacting.
That isn’t to say we won’t also miss him, because we certainly will. The response to his departure for the African Cup of Nations expresses just how important he has become for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
We are losing our top scorer and a man who is crucial to our attacking style of play yet we can take confidence from the fact we have match winners all over the pitch.
Klopp’s strength in depth in attacking areas gives him so many options and has already given him a wide array of goalscorers.
