Ray Parlour and the rest of Arsenal’s infamous Tuesday Club were no strangers to the Black Jack table, but judging by the former England international’s play here at 888Casino, he never got very good!
Perhaps both he and his gambling partner Amy Childs (of TOWIE) could have done with the Ultimate Blackjack Strategy Guide – which would have seen them experience much less pain…
Both the celebrities chairs were lined with an electric shock device, which would be set off every time they made a poor strategical decision, as judged by ‘The Master’ – watching from a TV set.
Parlour repeatedly got buzzed for poor play, deciding to split two Queens in one shocking example!
Childs, who was not pregnant at the time of filming, fares a little better – collecting a tidy blackjack.
“I know from my playing days that it can be tempting to make quick and rash decisions whilst under pressure,” Parlour said.
“But now I have a better understanding of the blackjack plays and know when to go for another hit. That electric shock hurt more than a Martin Keown tackle though.”
