For a while now, Emre Can has struggled, whatever position Jurgen Klopp has deployed him in.
He’s 22-years-old and terrifically talented, but for whatever reason, has not been able to show it recently. Tonight against Southampton, the German endured a poor first-half in which he wasted touches and put a lot of effort in for no reward.
He was described as a ‘Rolls Royce’ footballer by Brendan Rodgers, but that calmness and composure has been nowhere to be seen recently.
We support Can fully, but can’t argue with many of these tweets.
Come on Emre, prove the doubters wrong.

Emre Can poor in that first-half. All bluster and no control. He’s struggled this season, sadly. #SOULIV

Important to remember that Emre Can is a young player. He will improve. He will become a #LFC great.

Terrible performance so far. Emre Can is going backwards lately. Slows every move down and makes silly decisions on the ball.
