Liverpool boss fires serious warning to title rivals

When Liverpool get all of our players back fully fit, Jurgen Klopp has promised our rivals that we’ll be a much better side.

We drew with in-form Manchester United yesterday, despite being without our best centre-back Joel Matip, Sadio Mane (who’s at the AFCON) and Coutinho, who did come off the bench in the second-half.

Chelsea win nearly every game, and Arsenal and Spurs are playing superbly too – but Klopp reckons we’ll be as good as anyone when he has all his players available.

“I didn’t see the games until now,” Klopp began. “For sure, Tottenham are in a good way.

“Arsenal, two own goals (against Swansea) but I have no idea how they scored the goals. City, didn’t see it (game against Everton). We cannot look at it.

“There will be a moment when we are the better side – when everybody is back, in shape, healthy, fit and then we will see how the base is then,” he told the Echo.

“For today, the performance was absolutely more than okay.”

We face Swansea next weekend at Anfield and obviously have to win, before hosting Chelsea at the end of the month. We’ve an FA Cup replay against Plymouth to navigate this week, but expect Klopp to deploy the kids again to keep the first-team rested.

Liverpool won against Swansea in the away match this season, thanks to a Roberto Firmino header and a late James Milner penalty.

They are sure to park the bus when they travel to Merseyside though and it’ll up to Klopp’s men to break down the side currently at the bottom of the table.
