The Brazilian virtually never finds the net or even has a shot on goal, playing in holding midfield or at centre-back, but against Plymouth tonight, he rose high from a corner and nodded in Coutinho’s expert delivery.
In his nine and half seasons at the club, it’s his seventh goal in red, but all bar this effort came in his first three seasons at the club.
