Liverpool are one of four Premier League clubs interested in Jamaica’s most promising young player Leon Bailey.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who also suggest Chelsea, Everton and Bournemouth are keeping tabs, as well as Bayer Leverkusen and Roma.

The teenager currently plies his trade for Genk, for whom he has eight goals in 54 appearances since making his debut in 2015.

He plays wide in a 4-3-3 usually, and is renowned for his pace and trickery – akin to Raheem Sterling in many ways, actually.

The report suggests he’ll be available for around £20m, but that the clubs interested will wait until the summer to formalise their interest.

Bailey looks mighty talented and has the kind of pace that would boost our forward line and provide support for the likes of Sadio Mane.

At 19, he wouldn’t expect a guaranteed spot in the first-team and could develop into a serious player. Watch this space.
