Lallana’s mega new wage revealed; Liverpool star joins Premier League elite

Adam Lallana is on the verge of signing a bumper contract extension which will see him join Coutinho on roughly 150k/week, reports the Telegraph.

The Englishman is one of Jurgen Klopp’s favourite players and has agreed to a bumper deal which will keep the 28-year-old on Merseyside until 2021, when he’ll be 32 – hopefully having enjoyed his best years at Anfield…

Lallana started this season in superb form, registering seven goals and seven assists from central midfield, but like his team-mates, he’s been poor since the turn of the year.

This shouldn’t put Liverpool fans off though, as he remains a key component – especially when everyone’s fit.

His new wage puts the former Southampton man in the list of the Premier League’s most highest paid players.

While this is a signal of the club’s intent, it’s important we start offering these wages to potential new recruits as well – enabling us to bolster the squad with proven, top-notch players this summer.

The same report suggests Klopp will look to bring in four to five first-teamers come the end of this campaign.
