Liverpool’s 23-year-old German midfielder Emre Can is being considered by perennial Serie A champions Juventus, reports the Mirror.
According to the article, the Italian’s coach Allegri likes Can, who’s struggled to find his best levels for Liverpool this season.
Last term, Can was one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s team-sheet, but throughout 2016/17 he’s struggled for consistency – putting in more average performances than good.
Throughout January especially, Can slowed our play and gave the ball away needlessly, with many fans surprised he was getting a look-in ahead of Gini Wijnaldum.
In our last fixture, Wijnaldum started ahead of Can and put in a breathtaking display, intimating that his team-mate may be benched for the foreseeable.
What’s more, Can’s yet to sign a contract extension at Liverpool, arguing over wages – and with his current deal expiring in 2018 – Liverpool may look to offload in the summer if we can’t get him to lower his demands.
