Alexandre Lacazette has emerged as a prime transfer target for Liverpool this summer. This report in the Mirror suggests that he and Naby Keita are two players Jurgen Klopp desperately wants to boost our ailing squad ahead of 2017/18.

He definitely pads his stats with penalties, but Lacazette is clearly a superb finisher. What you’ll see in the (admittedly dodgy) highlights package is a player who can score on both right and left foot and with his head. He can finish powerfully, deftly and essentially provides the kind of finishing that only Daniel Sturridge is capable of within our ranks.
However, the Englishman appears to have lost his legs, so the fact we’re after a forward with pace to burn is no surprise.
