That was a bit more like it, Reds.
It’s incredible just how much stronger, more motivated, more confident and more entertaining we looked against Arsenal on Saturday compared to against Leicester last week.
The players were magnificent and, despite signs of a fight back from the Gunners, looked in complete control of the game.
We left a top six side unaware of how to play against us and just how much to risk going forward against us. Every flawed Arsenal attack was met with a counter-attack from Liverpool in response, spearheaded by not only the pace and power of Sadio Mane but also his quality on the ball.
Conceding was disappointing but Jurgen Klopp’s men can take pride from the fact that they very rarely allowed Arsenal to trouble them.
The reaction from the players on social media recognised just how important a win this was.
Just for the record, Roberto Firmino’s ‘Olha a Explosão’ translates back to ‘Look at the blast’…
Brilliant win! Well done lads! ?? #YNWA
