Sadio Mane is an absolute nightmare for Premier League left-backs to have to deal with.
The Senegalese star terrorised Tottenham full-back Ben Davis in the recent 2-0 win and did the same to Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal in Saturday’s emphatic victory.
He gave his marker no breathing space whatsoever, no time to think about what to do next and no opportunity to get close to him.
It wasn’t just Monreal he troubled, either. His movement across the front line stretched and disorganised an Arsenal defence that also had to pay attention to the likes of Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and even Adam Lallana with his late runs into the final third.
It proved to be a display that again typified what Liverpool are capable of doing to teams as well as reminding fans of just how talented Jurgen Klopp’s front four are.
Mane produced a number of eye-catching touches but it was a taunting run against Monreal in particular that summed up his dominance and his confidence on the day.
