Liverpool will be trialling 17-year-old left-back Wesley Decas in the coming weeks, according to Honduran media outlet Diaz.

The teenager starts for the Honduran Under-20 side and competes for the Pumas Academy in his homeland, but it’s his performances at international youth level which have earned our attention.

Supporters are crying out for Jurgen Klopp to buy a senior left-back to compete with James Milner, as Alberto Moreno is perhaps not up to scratch, but there’s as of yet no indication who that might be.

If Decas impresses, he could sign on and join the Under-18 side, with the hope of progressing to the Under-23s and one day the senior squad.

Klopp has shown time and time again that he’s willing to blood youngsters, with the likes of Ben Woodburn, Ovie Ejaria and Trent Alexander-Arnold now fully integrated members of the first-team squad.

There’s also great hope for Sheyi Ojo and Rhian Brewster, while Conor Masterson is also making great strides.
