Simon Mignolet is a target for Marseille, according to French outlet Sport.fr.

The Ligue 1 giants currently deploy Yohann Pele between the sticks and sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta, himself a legendary stopper of course, considers Mignolet an upgrade.

He lost his spot earlier this term to summer signing Loris Karius, but with the German woeful before Christmas, Mignolet won his spot back and in fairness, has had a pretty decent season.

There’s been a few blunders of course, notably against Burnley and Chelsea, but all in all, Mignolet’s actually had a good season.

What’s more, there seems no indication that Klopp wants a new keeper, despite supporter objection – and we reckon the only way we’ll sell Mignolet is if Marseille, or anyone else, submits a very large offer.

If that happens, we could give Karius another go as no.1, or maybe even bring Danny Ward in as competition following his excellent campaign at Huddersfield.
