Liverpool, Spurs and Monaco are fighting for the coveted signature of Youri Tielemans, reports L’Equipe, translated by the Echo.
The 19-year-old starts for Anderlecht and from an attacking midfield position, has scored a brilliant 18 goals so far this season including efforts in the Champions League and the Europa League.
For a player who hasn’t yet hit 20, this is a monstrously impressive return, especially considering he’s registered 11 assists as well.
Tielemans possesses excellent physical traits, but backs that up with superb technical skills, too. In fact, he reminds us quite a lot of Gini Wijnaldum stylistically – although he probably has a slightly higher ceiling than our Dutchman.
However, L’Equipe reckon Monaco are the favourites for his signature. They are a very attractive option for any players now, following their outrageously good campaign both domestically and in Europe.
If we’re in the race though, we should give our all to the pursuit, as Tielemans is potentially world-class.
