Rhian Brewster only turned 17 three weeks ago, but the forward has already made one of Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League benches and clearly possesses the talent to make it all the way.

He began this season in the U18s, but is now a starter for the U23s and has been tearing up trees over the past few weeks.

The Englishman assisted one of Ben Woodburn’s two goals in our 3-2 win over Manchester City last night in all all-round excellent performance.

First, he intercepted a City pass in his own half, before starting a dribble towards their box, showing speed and excellent close-control. Then, Brewster moved to the right to create an angle for a pass, with Woodburn positioning himself on the left of the last man.

Expertly, the forward slid Woodburn through, who finished with one touch.

Combined, these two players are aged 33…

Their potential is so, so exciting.
