Alexandre Lacazette will only join a team who qualify for the Champions League next season.

But on top of that, they need to be a good footballing side and not a long-ball merchant.

(Sorry, Manchester United…)

The Frenchman has bagged 30 goals in all competitions this campaign and at 25, is one of Europe’s hottest properties.

“The team I join will have to be in the Champions League & play good football – pass the ball, not just hit it from box to box,” he told Sky Sports.

Lacazette has been lethal for Lyon for many a season and it seems inevitable that he’ll make a mega-move this summer.

Liverpool are likely to sell Daniel Sturridge and many would like us to bring in the 10-cap forward as a direct replacement, but we’re not sure Jurgen Klopp will be keen.

Our manager prefers Roberto Firmino centrally and we consider it unlikely that Klopp will bring in a player for over £50m who might not start when everyone’s fit.

Instead, we think Klopp will put his eggs in Julian Brandt’s basket and make a new centre-back, likely Virgil van Dijk, a priority.
