French outlets link €40m Brazilian to LFC; perfect replacement target for (not so keen) Julian Brandt

Liverpool could sign PSG’s extremely talented winger Lucas Moura this summer, reports French publications such as L’Equipe and Le10Sport, to name but a few.

The 24-year-old has fallen down the pecking order in Paris due to the arrival and sublime form of Julian Draxler, meaning he has not only the German, but also Edinson Cavani, Angel di Maria and Javier Pastore to compete with for a spot in the front-three (not to mention the possible signing of Alexis Sanchez this summer).

As a result, Moura is available and the reports suggest that ourselves and Atletico Madrid are keeping tabs on the man who arrived from Sao Paulo for €40m back in 2013.

Julian Brandt comments will worry LFC fans RE summer transfer

Stylistically, Moura provides exactly what we need. He’s rapid, skilful and can play on either flank in a 4-3-3, or 3-4-4 which we’ve recently utilised. Aged 24, he’s still got plenty of time to develop and if he really is available, he could provide a very interesting alternative to Julian Brandt – who today claimed he’s happy at Bayer Leverkusen next season.

Where do you stand, Reds? Would you be happy with Moura, or would you prefer we turned our attentions elsewhere? There’s never been any official word that the flyer is a target, but we’re sure the club is at least monitoring his situation…
