Liverpool plotting potential double raid for Hull City duo

Liverpool have reportedly clinched a deal for Hull City’s Andrew Robertson and it looks possible they won’t be stopping there in terms of business with the Yorkshire club.

The Reds are one of several clubs also in pursuit of centre-back Harry Maguire, according to the Mirror.

Maguire has emerged as a standout performer in an otherwise disappointing Hull side looking likely to be relegated from the Premier League in their first season back in England’s top flight.

His notable composure on the ball and tendency to step out from the back has seemingly impressed a number of sides and could well have put his name on Jurgen Klopp’s list of defensive targets.

The ability to continue earning praise in a team fighting desperately at the bottom of the table bodes well for a player many feel possesses both the technical and physical attributes that make him worthy of staying in the division next season.

Though interest in Maguire is possible, Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk undoubtedly remains to be Klopp’s priority target with Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly also having been identified as a potential suitor.
