Peter Cech tells Arsenal fans not to worry about Liverpool…

Arsenal’s veteran keeper Petr Cech wants his side and his team’s supporters to focus only on the Gunners winning against Everton at the weekend.

As we know, a Liverpool win confirms our spot in the top four, but anything less leaves Arsenal the chance to beat our city rivals and climb above us in the table.

We can be absolutely sure Everton won’t do us a favour, but in fairness, if we can’t beat an already relegated Middlesbrough on the final day of the campaign, we probably don’t deserve Champions League football.

Arsenal’s fans have been a disgrace this season, and most didn’t even turn up to their must-win mid-week clash against Sunderland a few days ago – so we’re not sure if they’ll pay much attention to the Czech’s words…

“We have a difficult game – let’s not forget this first,” Cech told the Daily Express.

“We will concentrate on our game and there is only one thing we can do which is to win and then hope the other results will go our way.

“I never care about the other results so I am not going to start now.

“As I said, you do your best and you win your game – whatever happens elsewhere is not in our hands so as if we win our game, we can go to the dressing room and watch what is going to happen. But it will be a very difficult game.”

To be fair, it would be quite funny if we draw to ‘Boro and Everton get a point at Arsenal and secure our place in the Champions League, but remembering their performance against Manchester City in 2013/14, it’s just not going to happen!
